KP Wireless Magnetic Contact

Wireless Magnetic Door & Window Contact, designed to help secure vulnerable doors & window, working in conjunction with our full range of KP Wireless Alarm Systems.

It has a 300 ft (line of sight) back to the Wireless Receiver.

Being fully wireless & powered by 2 x AAA batteries, they can be installed anywhere.

The standard practise of installing these contacts is shown below, although these are only a guideline, unusual door and windows may sometimes require a slightly different approach:

1. Install the batteries into the contact (switch).
2. Using strong double sided tape, install the contact (switch) to the top edge of the door, on the inside of the property and close to the hinge end.
3. Using double sided tape, install the small magnet onto the door frame, when the door is closed the magnet needs to be nearly touching the side of the contact (switch).
4. Open the door, and check for a small red light illuminating on the switch.
5. Once the red light can be seen clearly illuminating on each occasion the door is opened it is time to test the alarm.
6. Arm the alarm panel, wait for the alarm to be fully armed (allow for the correct delay times).
7. Open the door and ensure the alarm is triggered, them disarm the alarm.
8. Once, you are satisfied the magnetic contact is working correctly, insert 2 small screws into the door frame, through the magnet holes.
9. In most installations, the contact (switch) can be left fixed by using the double sided tape only, but on some surfaces it may be necessary (or wise) to add one or two small screws.

Installation Method:

1. Switch: Double sided tape (2 small screws on some installations).
2. Magnet: Double sided tape & self 2 screws.
