How it Works:

The PIR Alarm has a built in 130 Decibel Siren and would typically be fitted into the back of a Van, although some customers do use one to protect the Cabin at times.

There is also a Wireless Siren with another 130 Decibel Siren and this will activate if the PIR does, being Wireless this allows you to fit the Siren in a safe (or hard to reach part of the Van).

Both the PIR & additional Siren are Armed & Disarmed by the Remote Control supplied,  normally from outside of the Van with the Doors shut (more can be added).

Once triggered the Sirens will operate for 60 seconds but remain Armed if they are not disarmed by Remote Control (therefore if an intruder enters the vehicle when the Alarm has stopped they would activate again).

There is a 30 second Exit time from using the Remote Control and a 5 second Entry time.

The Detection range is up to 8 metres so more than enough for any Van. 

Power Supply:

The PIR is powered by 3 x AA Batteries and the Wireless Siren by 2 x AA Batteries, and they will normally operate for around 12 months before needing to be changed.

It has a low battery warning LED, when the batteries are low the LED will remain ON.

Installation:

The Installation into a Van is quite easy, the PIR is supplied with a adjustable mounting bracket although many customers will simple use strong cable ties making it so quick and secure inside the back of the Van.

The Wireless Siren can be mounted with screws, double sided tape or cable ties in a position that cannot easily be reached (in the back or front of the van).

PIR:

The PIR is weather rated to IP65, therefore ideal for damp Vans during a typical Winter night. 

The Remote Control (more can be added) has two very simple buttons, ON / OFF and can be used from outside the Van with the Doors closed and locked.

You can add additional Alarm accessories to this Van Alarm (which would all operate on the same unique and secure wireless network) now or in the future, options include:
